The CWP has been working on the Older Women's Initiative since 1993. In 1994 they surveyed all APA divisions, boards, committees, and state psychological associations about the ways in which they address older women's issues (I have not seen any results yet). Last September they surveyed 2,000 female and male APA members aged 55 or more about their status and needs. Data analysis is currently underway. In January they began a pictorial analysis of undergraduate texts. The APA Women's Program Office hired LeAnne Ferdig to assist with the older women's initiative and other special projects.
